Trevi - The Trevi Olive Press
Trevi (Pg). The Trevi Cooperative oil press gathers the DOP certificate olives that are harvested in the hills between Assisi and Spoleto. This area is known for its rigorously organic cultivation methods, which extend also to the pressing stage. The mill will be welcoming visitors

Trevi - Museums Open to the Public
The town of Trevi has three museums that are all worth a visit: the Raccolta d'Arte di S. Francesco, the Flash Art Museum and the Museo della Civiltà dell’Olivo.
They range from collections of paintings and archaeological remains to temporary exhibitions of contemporary art and the only museum dedicated to the olive in Europe.


Trevi - A Palio in Memory of a Hard Won Victory
Since 1980 the Palio dei Terzieri commemorates the heroic reconquering of Trevi by its inhabitants after the city had been sacked by Spoleto. The Palio consists of a frantic race through the city streets with not more than twenty young men dragging carts that weigh a maximum of 430 kilograms. The aim is to seize the key of the bell tower and sound the bell of victory. The race itself is preceded by a historic parade featuring over 500 extras dressed in Medieval costume.


Trevi - A Place Remembered Even by Giotto
The church of San Francesco di Bovara is an important place of worship, immortalised even by Giotto in one of his frescoes. The fine crucifix in the interior is from 1330. The Bovara stele and a Roman mosaic were also uncovered here.




Trevi - A 1700-Year Old Olive Tree
Bearing olives for over 1700 years now, this tree has a rightful claim to being the oldest olive tree in Umbria. The tree, which stands near Bovara, just outside the 1158 Benedictine monastery, has been classified with number 102 of the protected plants in the region. This area is at the centre of the Assisi-Spoleto hills, known for their production of olive oil.

Trevi - The Festa dei Folli
The concept behind this unusual carnival is to re-evoke the the mad, burlesque aspect of Medieval carnivals. Jesters and trapeze artists perform in the ancient streets of Trevi, and visitors can also get an idea of what a small Medieval market was like.
